What inspired me to join Carnival is the passion I have for cooking and my love for food. Which really become self of my life in the kitchen and the kitchen has become my first home. I work in the galley preparing the food, fish, pasta, some Filipino dishes, Indonesian dishes and Italian dishes as well. Working on an International cruise ship I learned how to cook different cuisine which I really love and really enjoy the most.

Working around the ship, taking pictures of our guests at backdrops o the promenade deck, in the Dining Rooms, or on the gangway, our Photographers are there to capture the FUN! As a galley attendant you work in the galley, so we do a lot of cleaning, plates, cups everything! In the galley we work as a team to get everything done easily. Our interns work the same hours as the rest of our shipboard teams.

You will work 8-10 hours every day, up to 70 hours per week, with late-night shifts on a rotational basis. Once you get onboard you will have safety and security training, hospitality training, environmental training, and much more. Affectionately known as The Fun Squad, you are our shipboard influencers! You will be the celebrities around the ship as you host an array of activities for guests of all ages. Onboard I am responsible for the overall cleanliness of the cabin and of course with the proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and procedure. My advice to anyone thinking about applying to Carnival is just show your sincerity and love to your chosen career and success will follow. We’ll fly you to Miami, Florida for a 3 day, all expenses paid, orientation prior to joining your ship. You will learn the ins and outs of ship life and get to know the expectations prior to boarding.
A lot of my friends were talking really highly about the Carnival Family. You will get to enjoy crew parties, crew bingo, games, and more with your fellow team mates. I love traveling and as my boss says, ‘you get paid to travel!
